Availability filtering
How out-of-stock items are excluded before a cart is assembled.
A cart full of items the store cannot pick is worse than a smaller cart, so availability is applied as a filter during assembly rather than as a warning at checkout.
The filter
Products whose stock does not clear the purchasable threshold are excluded from results before the agent ever considers them. The shopper does not see an out-of-stock item and then lose it later, which is the interaction that erodes trust in an assembled cart.
Substitutions
Where an item is unavailable, the agent looks for a comparable product rather than dropping the need silently. The shopper sees what was chosen and can swap or remove it in a tap.
Location scope
Availability is evaluated for the location the shopper is buying from. If your inventory is location-level, Neomi uses it at that granularity.
