Placing orders

An order placed through the Neomi storefront is an order in your systems, visible to the same people and processes that handle every other order.

The path

The cart is handed to your checkout, and your checkout places the order exactly as it does for your existing storefront. Neomi does not write orders directly into your order system.

Why this way

Routing through your checkout rather than around it means tax, fees, tender, promotions, and compliance all continue to be handled by the system that already handles them correctly.

Note on this page

Described from the current implementation rather than from a published contract. Field names and shapes are what Neomi normalizes to today; our engineering team confirms the public naming when the reference is finalized.
